What is it that makes ranch dressing so much better at restaurants? Some may say that it is the ambiance, or the delectable food many restaurants have available for dipping in ranch but the answer truly lies in the cup.

It sounds ridiculous but often times it is the souffle cup that makes ranch so great. When you pour ranch on a salad sure its pretty good but when you can dip each fry in restaurant ranch dressing you will have much more joy.

By dipping your food item in a souffle cup of restaurant ranch dressing you can truly experience ranch immersion ie bliss.

In a nutshell i guess if you came here to learn how to make restaurant ranch dressing i would have to say 50% is presentation, but if you have a good recipe just make sure the consistency fits the type of food you a re going to serve it with. Light ranch for pizza is usually great but fries need a thick hearty ranch.

If you really want a good restaurant ranch dressing style recipe try:

½ Cup Mayonnaise
1/3 Cup Buttermilk
1/3 Cup Sour Cream
2 Tablespoons Minced Fresh Parsley
2 Tablespoons Minced Fresh Chives
1 Minced Garlic Clove
1 Teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice
½ Teaspoon Freshly Ground White Pepper
½ Teaspoon Salt

In a small bowl whisk all of the ingredients together. Place in a covered container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. This dressing may be kept refrigerated for 1 week. Makes 1 ½ cups.
